Fox Cullings – Apology received from Elmbridge Borough Council

LETTER RECEIVED FROM ROBERT MORAN, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF ELMBRIDGE BOROUGH COUNCIL

Following your request I have now investigated the source of the complaints about the foxes at Stompond Lane Sports Ground.

As we have stated, the direct source has been our grounds maintenance contractor who reported increased and threatening fox activity during their litter picking and maintenance activities, to the extent that they felt there was a danger to the public. I understand that this concern was the topic of informal on site discussions with people associated with W&HFC. I cannot find evidence of the Club making an official complaint directly to the Council.

While I have no doubt that the Club has been aware of the problem and were informed 2 weeks ago about the intended action, I can only apologise to you and the Club that the Club was identified as an official complainant.
