The Club is delighted to announce the introduction of the Walton & Hersham FC Women’s Senior Team which will commence playing at the start of the upcoming 22/23 season.

It’s been over a week since the Swans lifted their first major trophy since 1973 which ended a historic season for the Club after also securing promotion back into the Isthmian League.

However after such a positive season for the club, both on and off the pitch, we would see it as a waste to not build on the strong foundations that have been put down over the last three years.

So, with great excitement, the Club can announce the introduction of a Walton & Hersham FC Women’s Senior Team for the first time since 1992 – when the Swans played in the Greater London Women’s League alongside Arsenal, Wimbledon and Brentford.

With Walton & Hersham United FC housing around 250 female footballers, it was felt that a similar pathway and structure was needed to replicate what has been built on the men’s side of the club. The introduction of the Women’s Senior Team will help to facilitate this, with a pathway starting at under-5 level leading all the way up to senior football.

The Women’s Senior Team will be competing in the London & South East Regional Women’s Football League and will be entering the Women’s FA Cup in the upcoming season.

We thank everyone for their fantastic support over the past season and we hope that this latest development will strengthen the club as it continues to grow within the community.
