The Swans held Surrey neighbours Leatherhead to a 1-1 draw last Saturday afternoon in their final game of pre-season, with club captain Joey Jones rescuing a point for the Swans in the 90th minute. Billy Rowley will be hoping his side can build on their positive pre-season, with a tough season opener away to AFC Totton awaiting tomorrow afternoon.
Following last Saturday’s draw, Walton & Hersham have made another addition to their growing squad, with the signing of former Hayes & Yeading defender Paul Field. Field impressed in the game against the Tanners as a trialist, and is expected to feature in tomorrow’s matchday squad at Totton.
Totton themselves have enjoyed a strong pre-season, picking up victories against the likes of Forest Green Rovers and Eastbourne Borough. The Stags also played out a tight game with a Southampton XI as part of their pre-season, falling to a 3-2 defeat. Tomorrow’s opponents have also made a marquee signing in the form of ex-Premier League striker Charlie Austin, and will be hoping that he can take them one step further than last season, having narrowly missed out on promotion back in May, losing the play-off final at home to Salisbury on penalties.
Swans manager Billy Rowley will be hoping his side can kickstart their 24/25 league campaign with a victory against the league favourites tomorrow, with an exciting August calendar to follow.

Walton & Hersham and AFC Totton have met just twice, with both meetings coming last season. The Swans were held to a 2-2 draw at the Hub in January after the Stags scored twice in second-half stoppage time to salvage an unlikely point. The Stags were victorious in the away fixture on Easter Monday, defeating the Swans comfortably in a 3-0 rout.
