The Swans host Hanworth Villa on Tuesday evening in an FA Cup replay, following their thrilling 3-3 draw at Rectory Meadow on Friday Night. It was the first game Billy Rowley’s side failed to win since the opening day of the season, so they will no doubt be looking to bounce back with a win in Tuesday evening’s replay. The winners are set to host National League South outfit Farnborough in the next round (Saturday 14th September), with the Boro sitting just inside the play-off spots in the National South table.

After a stalemale in the first half on Friday, it was midfielder Lucas Defise who put the Swans ahead early in the second half, rounding the Hanworth ‘keeper with a flurry of stepovers to score his first goal for the club. In-form striker Dawid Rogalski netted a second for Walton & Hersham minutes later, scoring for the fifth game in a row, only for Hanworth to score three in less than ten minutes, to put themselves into an unlikely lead. With the clock ticking down, captain Joey Jones found himself unusually high up the pitch, receiving a smart pass from Rogalski to calmly tuck an equaliser away. The Swans came close to winning it late, with Mason Obeng’s dipping strike rattling the crossbar and Tom Olyott’s goalbound drive being beaten away by Hanworth Villa ‘keeper Mark Smith.

Manager Billy Rowley will be keen for his side to progress to the following round, and put Hanworth to the sword upon their visit to the Hub.
