The Swans head to Frome Town on Tuesday evening, as they remain in search of their first win since mid-September. Last time out, Billy Rowley’s side fell to an unfortunate 2-1 defeat at Winchester City despite a strong performance, rendering them winless in their previous five league games, following an excellent start to the season.

Saturday’s game at Winchester saw the Swans start positively with Nana Owusu heading his side into the lead within the opening five minutes. The Swans spurned multiple golden chances to add to their lead in the first half, before Thomas Wright levelled it up for the Citizens in the second half. After an end-to-end final 30 minutes, a late header from Simba Mlambo snatched all three points for the hosts. The defeat leaves the Swans in seventh place heading into Tuesday’s game.

Following promotion last season, Frome Town have had a poor start to this campaign, losing eight and winning just one of their opening 12 fixtures. The Robins suffered a 3-2 defeat at home to Poole Town in their last outing, leaving them sat in 21st position.

Billy Rowley will be keen for his side to capitalise on Frome Town’s weaker form, in order to break back into the play-off spots. As the teams near the top continue to perform well, the Swans know that keeping up in the coming weeks is crucial.

Head-to-head
The Swans have never faced Frome Town in their history and have found trips to Somerset to be a rare occurrence in recent times. The latest trip to the rural county came two years ago, a 1-0 FA Cup defeat at Taunton Town.
