The Swans welcome Sholing to the Xcel Sports Hub as they look to return to winning form following a 1-1 draw at Hungerford Town last time out.

Despite a positive first half from the Swans, the score was level at the break in Berkshire, but it didn’t take long for the deadlock to be broken in the second 45. Eight minutes into the second half, a goalmouth scramble following a Hungerford corner allowed Alefe Santos to put his side 1-0 up. With the clock ticking down and the Swans searching for a leveler, Dawid Rogalski won a free-kick on the edge of the box. Tom Olyott stepped up and struck a brilliant effort that hit the crossbar before nestling in the back of the net. The two sides battled the final minutes out to share the points.

Sholing are currently sat in 15th position having had a mixed start to their season so far. The Boatmen were victorious in their last outing as they beat Baffins Milton Rovers 2-0 to progress to the next round of the Hampshire Cup.

Billy Rowley will be keen for his side to pick up three points and continue their 100% Saturday home record, following wins against Merthyr Town, Farnborough, and Havant & Waterlooville. With just three points separating 5th and 13th, the Swans will be needing a win on Saturday to avoid dropping down the table.

Head-to-head
The Swans boast a 100% record against Sholing, winning both of last season’s encounters 1-0. The pick of the two games came at the Hub in April, Billy Rowley’s first game in charge as manager, when Josh Tobin won the game for his side in spectacular fashion. The defender picked up the ball on the halfway line and skipped past the Boatmen’s defence, before curling a fine effort into the bottom corner from range.
