The Swans host Hungerford Town on Saturday afternoon, as they look to continue their winning start to 2025, returning to action for the first time in 11 days after their trip to Sholing was postponed due to a frozen pitch.

It was a commanding victory for the Swans last time out as they beat Metropolitan Police 6-1 to progress to the quarter-finals of the Surrey Senior Cup. Anis Nuur opened the scoring with a good finish from the edge of the box, before an impressive brace from loanee Ralph Vigrass had them cruising at half-time. Josh Tobin extended the Swans’ lead in the second half, curling a sensational effort into the top corner. Alex Body and Dawid Rogalski netted either side of a Met Police consolation to complete the scoring for the Swans.

Hungerford Town have struggled at times this season, as they dwell near the bottom of the table in 17th place. The Crusaders have won their last three games however, securing a 3-2 cup win away to Ascot United in their last outing.

The Swans faced Hungerford earlier in the campaign, snatching a point with a 1-1 draw at Bulpit Lane back in November. A late Tom Olyott free-kick cancelled out Alefe Santos’ opener, to ensure that the spoils were shared.

Billy Rowley will be keen for his side to grab a win against Hungerford, as they look to keep the pressure on in the hunt for a play-off spot.

Head-to-head
The two sides have met one another on four occasions, with the first encounter being a 1-0 away victory for the Swans in the 1996-97 Isthmian League Cup. Walton & Hersham completed a league double over Hungerford last season with respective 4-1 and 1-0 victories, before keeping their unbeaten record against the Crusaders intact with a 1-1 draw
earlier this campaign.
