The Swans host nearby Met Police at the Xcel Sports Hub on Tuesday evening, as they look to build on their impressive and drama-filled 3-2 win over AFC Totton with a similar performance in the Round of 16 of the Surrey Senior Cup.

It was a great performance for the Swans who were forced to come from behind to beat the Stags. After a goalless first half, Totton took the lead through Tony Lee who was on hand to end a good move with a header at the near post. The Swans put the pressure on their visitors and equalised just over ten minutes later. Substitute Nana Owusu got the better of his man and swung in a cross for debutant Ralph Vigrass to head in. With under ten minutes remaining, Dawid Rogalski was put through on goal by Elliott Bolton and struck a great effort across the ‘keeper to put his side ahead. On the hunt for an equaliser, Totton struck a dagger in the heart of the Swans in the 92nd minute when Scott Rendell’s scuffed effort from a corner ended up in the back of the net.

The game looked destined for a draw, but with the final play of the game Dawid Rogalski picked up the ball on the edge of the Totton box, flooring a defender with a sublime piece of skill, before calmly slotting it in the back of the net to win it for the Swans and send the home fans into raptures.

Having had their last two games called off, Met Police were last in action nine days ago, losing 1-0 at home to Moneyfields. The defeat leaves them 17th in the Isthmian League South Central Division. The Blues reached this stage of the Surrey Senior Cup after a 3-1 win over Cobham in the previous round.

The Swans cruised into the Round of 16 with a 9-0 thrashing of Sutton Common Rovers at the Hub back in October. Both Dawid Rogalski and Anis Nuur netted hat-tricks against SCR, with Alex Body grabbing a brace and Johl Powell also getting on the scoresheet. With the prospect of reaching the quarter-finals of the county tournament, Billy Rowley will be eager for his side to pick up a victory on Tuesday evening. A win would also put the Swans among the favourites to go all the way in the competition.

Head-to-head
The two sides have met one another on plenty of occasions, facing off 50 times between the 1946-47 and 2014-15 seasons. Met Police were the victors of the last meeting, winning 1-0 at Imber Court in 2015. The Swans hold the upper hand in the head-to-head, being victorious in 25 matches. The Blues have won 20 meetings with the other five ending as draws.
