The Swans host Tiverton Town at the Xcel Sports Hub on Saturday afternoon, in a bid to restore a winning run having secured a 2-1 comeback victory away to Sholing last time out. It wasn’t the easiest of starts on the south coast on Tuesday evening, as Sholing took the lead from the penalty spot inside 15 minutes via Michael Folivi. The Swans didn’t take long to hit back however, as they equalised just ten minutes later. A well-worked move saw Kai Jennings grab his first goal for the club, with a superb first-time strike from the edge of the box from Johl Powell’s lay-off. The turnaround was complete minutes later, when Johl Powell showed great striker’s instinct to charge into the box and tap in from close range, after a superb bit of play out wide from Bobby-Joe Taylor.

Tiverton have struggled this season as they currently sit in the relegation zone, having won just twice in 2025 so far. One of those two victories came in their last outing however, as the Yellows secured a 1-0 win away to fellow strugglers Poole Town.

There was just one goal to separate the two sides in their meeting back in November, with Tiverton Town coming out on top at the Ian Moorcroft Stadium. A 73rd minute winner from Joe Parker was sufficient for the hosts to grab all three points, securing a only their third home win of the season at the time.

With the Swans having now jumped into fourth place in the league, Billy Rowley will be hoping his side can secure another crucial win on Saturday, as they face the prospect of opening up a wider berth between themselves and sixth place.

Head-to-head
Walton & Hersham have met Tiverton Town three times previously, with each side winning one and drawing one. The first encounter ended in a 2-2 draw back in October 2023, after the Swans came from two goals down to secure a point in Devon. They earned the win in the return fixture however, grabbing a 2-0 victory at the Hub 12 months ago.
