Walton & Hersham Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Elliot Matta as Vice President of Walton & Hersham Football Club – North America. With a deep passion for the beautiful game and a wealth of experience in the business world, Elliot’s unique skill set will undoubtedly strengthen the Club’s operations and expand its presence across North America.

Elliot is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). He holds a Master’s degree in Business from Florida Atlantic University and several Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Finance. Throughout his career, Elliot has demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise in corporate finance, accounting, and business operations. Notably, he was part of the Executive Leadership Program at Wal-Mart Stores, where he spent several years honing his skills in strategic leadership and global operations.

In addition to his time at Wal-Mart, Elliot has worked with several multinational corporations, and has experience at PriceWaterhouse Coopers, one of the Big Four accounting firms. His work has spanned over twenty countries, where he provided consulting services in mergers and acquisitions, accounting, finance, and auditing.

Elliot’s journey has been marked by both professional success and personal tragedy. His daughter, Victoria Rose Matta, tragically lost her battle with childhood cancer. In the wake of this heartbreaking loss, Elliot and his family dedicated themselves to supporting the American Cancer Society, channeling their grief into a mission to help others fighting similar battles.

Elliot’s combination of business experience, love for the sport, and commitment to philanthropy will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on Walton & Hersham Football Club.
