The Swans travel to face Hanwell Town on Saturday afternoon, as they look to extend their winning run to five games following a 3-0 victory at Swindon Supermarine last time out.
It was a dominant performance from the Swans as they put their hosts under plenty of pressure from kick-off, but they were forced to wait half an hour for the opener. The breakthrough came when Dawid Rogalski did brilliantly to control a pass from Joey Jones, before slotting it into the back of the net. Swindon continued to feel the Swans pressure after half-time and were made to pay when Ralph Vigrass doubled the advantage with a deflected effort. Substitute Mason Obeng put the seal on victory when he drove into the box before firing in a brilliant finish from a tight angle.
Hanwell Town have enjoyed a decent season so far, currently sitting in 10th place. The Geordies ended a five game winless run in their last outing, with a 3-0 victory over the Swans’ play-off rivals Dorchester Town.
There was no separating the sides as they played out a 2-2 draw in their encounter earlier this season. Dawid Rogalski and Lucas Defise put the Swans ahead on two occasions, but the Geordies fought back to ensure the points were shared.
With the Swans having leapfrogged Gloucester City to go third, Billy Rowley will be keen for his side to continue their fine form as they look to strengthen their hold on the play-off spots.
Head-to-head
Walton & Hersham have met Hanwell Town on three occasions, with the first set of meetings coming last season. The Swans secured a dramatic 2-1 victory away to the Geordies but could not complete the double in the return fixture. Hanwell got their revenge with a result of the same scoreline at the Hub, albeit through a controversial winner.
