The Swans turn their attention to the Surrey Senior Cup as they welcome holders South Park Reigate to the Xcel Sports Hub on Tuesday night.

It was a frustrating game for the Swans last time out, as they were held to a 1-1 draw on Saturday at home to Basingstoke Town. The ‘Stoke took the lead through George Reid just before the hour-mark, when he rounded Jos Barker and squeezed his effort into an empty net from a tight angle. The Swans pushed hard for an equaliser, and it came via the head of on-loan debutant Riley Horan, who crashed home perfectly-weighted Mason Obeng cross at the back post.

South Park have had a poor season so far, sitting one place above the relegation zone in the Isthmian League South Central Division. The Sparks have enjoyed a small resurgence in form recently however, winning their last two games, including a 6-1 victory over Horndean. The Reigate-based outfit reached this point of the competition following a 3-1 win against AFC Croydon Athletic in the previous round.

The Swans progressed to the quarter-finals of the cup courtesy of a 6-1 win at home to Metropolitan Police in the Round of 16, a fixture that took place almost three months ago at the beginning of January. Billy Rowley will be hoping his side can capitalise on the opportunity to reach the final four of the competition, where a matchup away at Leatherhead awaits.

Head-to-head
The two sides have met a number of times between the 2012-13 and 2022-23 seasons. In the last set of encounters, in the Swans’ 22-23 Isthmian South Central campaign, South Park secured a 2-0 win at Whitehall Lane, but the Swans convincingly won the return fixture 4-0, with Eddie Simon netting the first in his record streak of four consecutive hat-tricks.
