The Swans welcome Hendon to the Hub on Saturday afternoon as we look to make it through to the second round of the FA Trophy for the first time in over 20 years.

We secured a dramatic 2-1 win at Farnham Town last time out, leaving it late to snatch all three points. Dawid Rogalski ended a quick counterattack to put us ahead in the first half, but a loose back pass allowed our hosts to level shortly after half-time. The spoils looked destined to be shared until the 94th minute when Jonathon Page sent a superb ball to the back post for Joe Bennett to volley in. His first goal for us sent our travelling fans into raptures and ensured we made it 10 league wins in a row.

Hendon weren’t as fortunate in their last outing as they lost 2-1 to AFC Portchester. Niko Muir put the Greens in front after 20 minutes, only for Zak Willett and Alfie Stanley to turn it around either side of half-time and ensure Hendon went home with nothing.

With the opportunity to reach the second round of the FA Trophy for the first time since the 2004/05 season, Billy Rowley will be hoping we can rise to the occasion and continue our strong form.

Head-to-head

Hendon are no strangers to us as we have met no fewer than 54 times over the years with our first encounter coming during the 1950/51 campaign. Our last meetings with the Greens came in the 2023/24 season, playing them three times.

We lost 3-1 at home, but took a point from our trip to north-west London with a 1-1 draw. We also met at this stage of the FA Trophy, losing 2-1 at Silver Jubilee Park.

The game will kick off at 3pm on Saturday 25 October, at the Elmbridge Xcel Sports Hub – KT12 2JP. Tickets are priced at £14 for Adults, £10 for Seniors/Concessions, £7 for Next-Gen (13-21), and £2 for U12s. Tickets are available to purchase on the day at the gate, with either cash or card, or can be purchased beforehand by following this link.
