The Swans are excited to announce the signings of academy players Oscar Suarez, Zidane Yousuf and Rio Tzanev to our first team.

The trio make the step up to the senior side after a string of brilliant performances for our academy sides.

Their promotion to the first team is a testament to the hard work Head of Recruitment and Academy Manager Andy Scates, Academy Director Darren Simpson and our academy coaches have been putting in, with several young stars continuing to impress for our youth teams.

It’s important for us as a club to develop our academy and we pride ourselves on presenting a pathway to the first team, with the ever-present Thabo Kuaho among those to have made the step up in the past.

Chief Executive Officer Joe Brine said: “I’m incredibly proud to see three of our academy lads make the step up to the first team. It’s a huge credit to their hard work, the dedication of our coaches, and the pathway we’ve worked hard to build here.

“There’s nothing our fans appreciate more than seeing young, local talent come through the ranks and represent the badge – it’s what makes this club special.

“Moments like this remind us why investing in youth development is so important, and I couldn’t be happier for the players, their families, and everyone involved in making this possible.”

Suarez, Yousuf and Tzanev are all in contention to be part of our matchday squad to face Yate Town tomorrow afternoon.
