The Swans travel to face Winchester City on Saturday afternoon, coming off the back of a dramatic 2-2 draw at home to Gosport Borough. Now winless in their last five games in all competitions, the Swans will be keen to return to their early-season winning form, by picking up three points on their visit to the Citizens this weekend.

The Swans were held to a 2-2 draw at home on a Tuesday night for the second time this season earlier in the week, with a league debut goal by Jordan Esprit sending them into the half-time break one-nil up, with the visitors down to ten men. However, a quick turnaround in the second-half put Boro’ into an unlikely 2-1 lead, before Eoin Bolger was sent off for a second yellow card offence. After piling pressure on the visitors in the closing stages, skipper Joey Jones fired home a late equaliser from a corner to rescue a point for the Swans.

Winchester City have endured a shaky start to their league season, winning just one game, drawing five, and losing five. The Hampshire side currently sit in 18th position as a result. In their last outing, the Citizens fell to a 2-0 defeat at Swindon Supermarine.

Billy Rowley will be eager for his side to secure a victory tomorrow afternoon as they remain without a league win since the start of September. With a number of the other top sides having picked up wins in recent weeks, three points on Saturday remains a crucial objective for the Swans.

Head-to-head
The Swans have encountered Winchester City just twice, with both meetings coming in the league last season. A long-awaited match away to Winchester, following a string of weather-related postponements, finally took place in November and saw Walton & Hersham fall to a 2-1 defeat, despite taking an early lead. The Swans got their revenge however, with a 3-1 return victory at the Hub in January.
