The Swans play host to Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday afternoon in a return to league action. Billy Rowley’s side were victorious last time out, beating Sutton Common Rovers 9-0 in the Surrey Senior Cup.
The dominant win in the cup saw both Dawid Rogalski and Anis Nuur net hat-tricks for the Swans. Johl Powell also got on the scoresheet, firing home from the penalty spot, while Alex Body scored a brace off the bench. The comfortable victory was the Swans’ first since September, and they will now be hoping to continue the momentum into Saturday’s league game.
Havant & Waterlooville have enjoyed a good start to their campaign, as they sit in 6th place following relegation from the National League South last season. The Hawks progressed into the next round of the FA Trophy in their last outing, following a penalty shootout win at Bristol Manor Farm.
Billy Rowley will be hoping his side can kickstart a winning run, following their brilliant victory over Sutton Common Rovers in midweek. A win will be even more crucial, as they face off with a team that may prove to be a promotion rival.
Head-to-head
The Swans have not met Havant & Waterlooville since their amalgamation in 1998, but did face off against the former Waterlooville F.C. on three occasions. All three meetings came in the FA Trophy, with the Swans winning 2-0 and 4-0 respectively and drawing 1-1.
