The Swans return to home action as we host Taunton Town on Saturday afternoon.

We completed a historical comeback in our last outing as we fought back from three goals down in stoppage time to draw 3-3 at Dorchester Town. A good finish from Joe Parker had the hosts ahead at the break before a swift second-half brace by Tom Smith put his side in control.

With time ticking away, we didn’t let the deficit keep us down and we handed ourselves a slender lifeline two minutes past the 90 mark. Stefan Parkes fired in a brilliant strike from range to open his Swans account. Just minutes later, Johl Powell capped off a fine team move to score our second and make life nervy for the Magpies.

Moments after, we pushed Dorchester once again with Diamond Edwards swinging a teasing ball into the box which Danylo Hubynets connected with to finish a sensational comeback and rescue a draw.

Taunton have had a strong start to the season, winning two and drawing one of their opening three games. The Peacocks were held to a 1-1 draw by Basingstoke Town in their last outing, succumbing to an equaliser in added time.

Billy Rowley will be keen for us to get back to winning ways as we come up against a tough test in the form of Taunton. He will potentially have a familiar face to call on after we announced the return of Teo Kurtaran earlier today.

Head-to-head

We have encountered Taunton just three times in our history, with the first meeting coming in the 2022/23 FA Cup Third Qualifying Round, a tie we lost 1-0.

The Peacocks were victorious by the same scoreline at the Hub last season, but we got our revenge in the return fixture, securing a 2-1 win with two quick goals in the closing moments of the first-half.
