The Swans are back on the road in a quick turnaround as we travel to Gosport Borough on bank holiday Monday.
We got back to winning ways in our last outing, defeating an unbeaten Taunton Town 2-1 yesterday. Dawid Rogalski opened the scoring with a quickfire finish on the rebound, but we were pegged back by the Peacocks, meaning we went into the break level.
The Polish Pele netted the eventual winner just minutes into the second-half as he connected with a brilliant cross by Jack Wood, beating the Taunton shotstopper.
Gosport lost 2-1 to newly promoted Uxbridge in their previous game. The Boro’ produced a late fightback in the final 10 minutes, but failed to rescue a point as they fell to their second defeat of the season.
Billy Rowley will be keen for us to pick up another victory at Gosport as we look to build on our latest victory and kickstart a winning run.
Head-to-head
The Swans have met Gosport on four occasions, with both sides boasting one win, having played out entertaining draws in two encounters.
We were victorious in our last meeting, securing a 2-0 triumph at Privett Park in January. A Johl Powell brace at either end of the second-half saw us come away from the south coast as comfortable victors.
Match information
The game will kick off at 3pm on Monday 25th August, at the AEI Stadium, Privett Park, Gosport – PO12 3SY. Tickets are available to purchase on the day at the gate, with either cash or card.
