FA Cup Second Qualifying Round Sat 13 September Enclosed Ground
Whitehawk
Walton & Hersham
15:00

The Swans are back in FA Cup action as we travel to face Whitehawk in the competition’s Second Qualifying Round.

We defeated Evesham United 2-1 in our last outing to extend our winning run in all competitions to three games. Dawid Rogalski ended a swift move to put us ahead just three minutes in, but we were pegged back before half-time. Elliott Bolton restored our lead with a strike from range following the break and we saw out the victory with 10 men after Johl Powell was sent off for simulation.

We reached this stage of the cup after defeating Three Bridges 2-0 in the previous round.

Whitehawk fell to defeat last time out, losing 4-1 to Folkestone Invicta. They overcame Hayes & Yeading United 3-2 in a replayed game to set up this tie in the cup.

Billy Rowley will be hoping we can keep our brilliant run of form going with our trip to the Hawks as we look to extend our winning streak, but also put ourselves in the hat for the next round.

Head-to-head

We have faced Whitehawk five times in our history, winning just one of those encounters.

Our first meeting came at this stage of the 1983/84 FA Cup with the Hawks taking a 4-1 win. We then met again in the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons of the Isthmian League Division One South, losing three of the four matchups.

Match information

The game will kick off at 3pm on Saturday 13th September, at the McLaren Enclosed Ground, East Brighton Park, Wilson Avenue, Brighton – BN2 5TS. Tickets are available to purchase on the day at the gate.
