The Swans are back in FA Cup action as we welcome Chippenham Town to the Hub for a huge Third Qualifying Round clash on Saturday afternoon.
We extended our winning run to seven games in our previous outing as we secured a dominant 3-0 win at Berkhamsted. A quick move saw Dawid Rogalski put us ahead after just two minutes before he doubled our lead midway through the first half with another clinical finish. Johl Powell then put the seal on victory minutes later when he pounced to convert a flick-on by Ethan Light.
Chippenham defeated Gloucester City 2-1 to reach this stage of the competition, with that being their only win in their last five matches. A 1-0 defeat against Enfield Town last time out was their third loss in that timeframe.
With the Bluebirds visiting from the National League South, Billy Rowley will be keen for us to rise to the tough challenge this weekend. A win would see us continue our excellent run of form and would also send us to the Fourth Qualifying Round for the first time since the 1994/95 season, when we made it to the First Round Proper.
Head-to-head
We have met Chippenham Town just once in our history, securing a shock victory in the 2001/02 FA Trophy. Meeting the Bluebirds, then of the Southern League Western Division, in the First Round, we defeated them 4-1 at Hardenhuish Park.
