Southern League Premier South Sat 22 November Elmbridge Xcel Sports Hub
Walton & Hersham
Hungerford Town
15:00

The Swans are back in home action as we host Hungerford Town at the Hub on Saturday afternoon.

We were left frustrated last time out as we saw what looked to be a dominant win at Sholing thwarted by a floodlight issue. First-half goals from Stefan Parkes, Dawid Rogalski, Jack Wood and Mason Obeng saw us romp into a 4-1 lead at the break, but the match was abandoned after the lights cut out near the hour mark. We are awaiting the outcome on whether or not the result will stand. For more information, follow this link.

Hungerford find themselves in a rut ahead of their visit to the Hub. After a positive start to the season that saw the Crusaders win four of their opening six, they have not found victory since and are on a 10-game winless run in the league. They were held to a 3-3 draw by Evesham United in their latest game and will be looking to bounce back to winning ways tomorrow and could have ex-Premier League striker Charlie Austin in the ranks.

Billy Rowley will be hoping we can put Tuesday’s frustration behind us and keep our strong form going by recording our 13th consecutive league win.

Head-to-head

We have met Hungerford five times in our history with the first encounter being a 1-0 win in the 1996/97 Isthmian League Cup. Our next set of games came in the 2023/24 campaign and we managed a league double before drawing 1-1 in both meetings last season.
