Walton & Hersham FC are delighted to confirm we have extended Riley Horan’s loan deal until the end of the season.
Riley spent the second half of last campaign with us from parent club AFC Wimbledon, and he made an instant impact, scoring on his debut in a 1-1 draw with Basingstoke Town. He went on to make eight appearances with us and also played in the Surrey Senior Cup final, helping us defeat Dorking Wanderers 3-1 to win our first county title since 1973.
We re-signed Riley on a short-term deal in the opening weeks of this season and after making his second Swans debut in a thrilling 3-3 draw at Dorchester Town, he has played 15 games.
Unfortunately, his second spell with us has been affected by injury, but he fought against the setback to return to fitness in December, helping us win a number of matches over the busy festive period.
On extending his loan with the Swans, Riley said: “I’m absolutely buzzing to extend my time here. To be a part of such an unbelievable group of lads trying to achieve something special this season is very exciting.”
Everyone at Walton & Hersham FC is thrilled to see Riley remain with us for the remainder of the season and we are excited to see him help us in the crucial second half of the campaign.
