Alfold 3 Swans 4

Saturday 24th July 2021.                                                                   Pre-Season Friendly.

Alfold 3    Walton & Hersham 4.

Swans finally ran out deserved winners against their Southern Combination League Premier Division hosts. They took the lead after 24 minutes when Harry Pointing played the ball across to Jordayne Henry on the left, and he sent Shaun-Chris Joash clear to score with a low shot from the edge of the box.

The home side equalised after half an hour with a close-in shot following a break on the right that looked offside.

Swans took only a minute to regain the lead when Pointing played a good ball down the right to send Joash away, and he did well to cut in on the byline and set up Alex Kelly to score.

Alfold soon equalised for the second time when the referee judged a ball driven point-blank at Joe Hicks that struck his arm was worthy of a penalty. A clear penalty was then soon turned down at the other end.

The home side took the lead for the first time straight after half-time with a near-post finish from a left-side cross by a player clearly well off side.

Swans made it 3-3 after 66 minutes when Joash pounced to round the keeper and score his second goal.

Two minutes later a fine build-up on the left ended with Harry Mills striking a terrific shot from outside the box that went in off the right post to make it 4-3.
