FA Vase To Resume

Swans’ outstanding 3rd Round tie in the Buildbase FA Vase away to Guildford City has been rescheduled for Saturday the 10th of April. This follows information from the FA, summarised as below:

The following details, which have been agreed by The FA National Game Board for the restart of the 2020-21 Buildbase FA Vase Competition, have been confirmed. The main objective is to ensure the Competition can be completed in its usual format, with all remaining rounds being played on-field, and to ensure the Final can be played as part of FA Non-League Finals Day at Wembley Stadium in May.

The revised schedule below is based on non-elite football being permitted to resume from 29 March, as per the latest Government Roadmap.

Third Round Proper: Saturday 10 April 2021 (4 outstanding matches)

Fourth Round Proper: Saturday 17 April 2021

Fifth Round Proper: Saturday 24 April 2021

Sixth Round Proper: Saturday 1 May 2021

Semi Final: Saturday 8 May 2021

Final: Saturday 22 May 2021

Unfortunately, the current understanding from DCMS is that spectators for non-elite football will be under the same categorisation as outlined for all spectators in the Government roadmap. Therefore, unless informed otherwise, all matches in the Buildbase FA Vase will need to be behind closed doors until no earlier than 17 May 2021. There would need to be a further review of the Competition should the national lockdown and government restrictions be extended beyond 29 March 2021.
